Beckton's 71^st Anniversary Production Sale on April 12^th, 2016 was a successful one with lively bidding both locally, over the phone and via the Internet:

• 241 bulls, average almost $6,700 topping out at $32,000
•   30 heifers, average over $4,000 with a maximum of $6,500

The 255 buyers hailed from 23 states and 2 Canadian provinces.

At our joint Fall sale with the Halfmann Ranch on October 7^th, 2015 the average sale prices on our lots were:

• Bulls, almost $6,500
• Heifers and cows, about $2,000

Beckton's 70^th Anniversary Production Sale on Tuesday April 14^th, 2015 was a record breaker:

• 246 bulls sold at an average of $8,446 each with the high bull selling at $29,000
•  34 heifers averaged $4,309, topping out at $7,000

Buyers were from 20 states as well as from Canada.  It was quite a lively sale with more than 200 buyers registered, up to 50 of whom were bidding via two conference call phone lines.

Our annual joint fall production sale held with Halfmann Red Angus took place at the Halfmann ranch in Texas on October 1^st, 2014.  Lots sold with average sale prices were:

• 131 bulls  $5,060
•   22 bred registered cows  $3,180
•   20 bred registered heifers  $2,930
•    6 open registered heifers  $1,850
•   93 bred registered heifers  $2,635
• 120 bred registered young cows  $3,000
•   40 bred cows  $2,700
•   30 open registered cows  $1,400
•   25 open registered heifers  $1,572

Buyers were from 9 states and Mexico.

Beckton's 69^th Anniversary Production Sale was held at Beckton on Tuesday April 8^th, 2014. Sold were:

• 250 bulls at a sale average of $5,752; the highest bull sold for $15,000
•  37 heifers averaging $3,297 per head with a maximum of $5,000

Beckton held a Fall joint production sale with Halfmann Red Angus on October 2^nd, 2013.
The sale was at the Halfmann ranch in Miles, Texas.

Altogether there were 540 Red Angus sold:

• 120 Coming 2-year-old bulls
• 120 Spring bred registered females, including 75 heifers
• 220 Spring bred commercial females, including 65 heifers. Selling in load lots.
•   80 Ready-To-Breed commercial heifers and cows. Selling in load lots.

Beckton's 68^th Anniversary Production Sale was held at Beckton on Tuesday April 9^th, 2013, and quite well attended in spite of late winter bad weather (consequently, there were more bidders than usual on the phone line this year).  219 bulls were sold at an average of over $4,500 with the top bull, Beckton Clifftop Z500 E4, bringing in $29,000.  34 heifers averaged just over $2,700.

Besides the Beckton lots there were 30 bulls and 30 heifers from Tongue River Ranch included in the sale.  Their averages were over $3,700 and just under $2,600 respectively.

Beckton's 67^th Anniversary Production Sale was held at Beckton on Tuesday April 10^th, 2012.  265 bull and 63 heifers were offered.  The average bull price was more than $4,400 with the highest sold at $21,000.  The average heifer sold for just under $3,000.

Beckton's 66^th Anniversary Production Sale was held at Beckton on April 12^th, 2011.  The cattle offered were enthusiastically received and sold well, both in the ring and over the phone.  The 253 bulls sold for an average of more than $4,600 each with the top bull going for $19,000.  The average for 70 heifers was almost $2,500.

Beckton's 65^th Anniversary Production Sale was held on Wednesday April 14^th, 2010.  The sale was quite well attended with a near record number of phone-in bids.  The 205 Beckton bulls averaged out at about $3,500 with the top bull going for $19,500; the 17 heifers averaged about $2,000 each.

Beckton's 2009 Fall Sale was held on November 9^th.  This was a joint sale with Mushrush Red Angus.  This sale made history by perhaps being the first in the industry to be held at two simultaneous locations (Beckton in Wyoming and the Mushrush ranch in Kansas) and on the Internet via the facilities of DVAuction.  The catalog is still available in low resolution (fast downloading) here or high resolution (slow downloading) here.
